What People's Say About Place

Came here as recommended as part of Chase Sapphire Exclusive Table. We reserved for 2 at 6:00p and we're seated right away. The menu is only one page with a few selections of appetizers, pasta and main courses. They also list at the bottom of the menu the local farms where they sourced their ingredients. We order the Hamachi and Cabbage as appetizers. The Hamachi is fresh and delicious. The cabbage is surprisingly good given it is such a pedestrian ingredient. The chili broth gives it the flavor and the pork candy crumble provides the texture. For further enhancement, I'd recommend a chili puree rather than the broth, which soaks the cabbage and could be over powering. For main courses, we had the pork chop and duck breast. The pork chop has a crispy skin and is cooked perfectly. The duck is a bit of hit and miss. While the taste is good, the duck itself is a bit chewy. It is paired with a biscuit, which taste great, but does not feel too cohesive with the duck. Pairing the duck with sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts or red cabbage stew would probably be better and create a more complete dish. Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner.

If you’re debating going to Customshop, go! Ambiance, drinks, and food were great! We sat at the bar which had great lighting and offered an intimate experience. Our bartender was awesome. She recommended drinks and food. Everything was so fresh and well crafted! Pictured are a skinny margarita, rockett fuel cocktail, empanadas (my favorite), duck, and the tagliatelle (also my favorite). Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion! One of our new favorites in Charlotte.

Customshop is hands down one of Charlotte’s best dining spots. The food is outstanding — creative, perfectly executed, and made with obvious care and high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without feeling stuffy, making it great for both special occasions and casual nights out. Service was excellent, and a special shoutout to Lilly the bartender, who was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and she made some truly great cocktails and wine recommendations while making everyone feel welcome. Can’t recommend Customshop enough.

This was my first visit, and I can see why reservations are hard to come by unless you book a couple of weeks in advance. The space is small and intimate, which actually adds to the experience, it felt cozy without being crowded or noisy. The cocktail selection and wine list were both thoughtfully curated and offered plenty of good options. What really stood out to me was the hospitality. While we were waiting for our table, the bartender stepped out from behind the bar to personally welcome us and ask how we were doing. It was such a small gesture, but it made a great first impression and set the tone for the evening. The menu is concise, which I personally appreciate, I’d much rather see a focused menu done exceptionally well than an overwhelming list of average dishes. We ordered the blue crab ravioli, and it was outstanding. Savory, rich, and perfectly balanced. I easily could have eaten two or three more plates. The empanadas were just as flavorful and satisfying. We also shared the tiger prawns, which were excellent, and the hibachi dish ended up being a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was incredibly flavorful and ended up being one of my favorites. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would absolutely return.

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Custom Shop! From start to finish, everything was impeccable. Zoe, our bartender and waitress, provided excellent service . We tried a variety of dishes: bruschetta, duck empanadas, pork belly, bass, and the ravioli, and every single item was exquisite. Each dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. We also ended the night with a coffee martini, which was the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable meal. Custom Shop truly delivered a delightful culinary experience. Highly recommend both for the food and the outstanding service!

We sat at the bar and had a lovely experience. The bartender was wonderful - she shared her favorite dishes, and we loved them all, especially the mussels. We felt so welcomed.

Thank you to the entire Customshop team for an incredible experience. When you work in restaurants, it’s hard to decide where to spend your special occasions, but I knew that the team at Customshop would take care of myself and my family. I cannot overstate how much I appreciate the hospitality that we received. Thank you.

I’ve been to Custom Shop twice now, and the food has been excellent both times. We ordered the hamachi, empanadas, a pasta dish, and pork, and everything was really well done. They also had a hamburger special that looked incredible—definitely on my list for next time. The space is small and cozy with a great atmosphere, and the service was friendly and attentive. It’s a fantastic date spot and not really a place for kids. Overall, a great experience all around—I’d absolutely go back and was totally happy both visits.
